This article spoke to me and I had to re-ignite the weekend reading series just so that I could link to it one more time.  Alice writes about self-taught, well, anything, but techies in particular. She talks about the self-doubt but reminds us that knowledge is a path, not an outcome.

This post was written in 2011, but it does not make it any less relevant. Professor Downey breaks down the paralyzing maze of hypothesis testing into a simple model.
